Sunday 23 March 2008 - Easter Holiday - My First Adventure out of the City

My First Adventure out of Melbourne City was Pipi (Clams) Picking at Venus Bay. It was the Easter holiday so Uncle Patrick organised this outing for us to go Pipi Picking. It was about 2h 30mins drive south of Melbourne City. It is further than Philips Island. It was the longest car ride for me since birth. I was well-behaved and enjoyed the scenery as we drove pass the various suburbs. Of course along the way, Mummy had to feed me in the car. Unfortunately it rained when we reached Venus Bay. We had to hide in the car and prayed that the rain stops soon. After about 30min, the rain stopped, so we headed down to the beach for Pipi picking. Daddy couldn't go too deep into the water as he was carrying me. Uncle Patrick and Aunty Eliza had their swim gear on, so they are not afraid of getting wet. We picked about 2 buckets full of clams. Then, the sky decided to pour on us again. As the tide was getting higher too, we decided to pack and head home. Although our stay at Venus Bay was brief, we had a great time.

Saturday 26 January 2008 - My First Outing

The first time I went out of the house after coming home from hospital was to Melbourne International Airport. Ah Ma needs to go back to Singapore, so we went to send her off. That is also the first time Daddy carried me in the Baby Bjorn carrier. Mummy said they forgot to take pictures of me at the airport......

Tuesday 22 January 2008 - My First Day at Home

Mummy decided to come home early as it was too noisy in the hospital. So we left the hospital about 1 and a half day after I was born. Mid-wife Jo who helped to deliver me was on duty, so she did a final check on me and Mummy to make sure we are all fit before we can go home. After all the necessary documents are done, we can finally go home. Hooray!. Mummy carried me while Daddy had to carry all the bags. We took a cab from the main entrance as our home is only about 10mins drive from the hospital. Ah Ma was there to welcome me when we stepped into the house.
